Custom Litterboxes

I'm not sure what they are putting in these litter boxes, but I approve. It's really plush - urinating next to greenery, defecating in well-maintained soil. Yup! I sure do love it when the weather warms!

Choke that down

You may have heard otherwise, but Jen's cooking just isn't that great. Children are brutally honest, even when they cannot yet speak.

Knife Skills

Jen has been pretty smug about Sam's growing prowess in the kitchen. Perhaps he doesn't eat very much, but he can measure like no one's business - he pretty much has the pancake recipe memorized. So Jen wanted to get Teddy started early. Knife skills are a bit too advanced, I think. But who listens to me?

Not the blade, Teddy!

Get those fingers out of the way, Teddy!

Dear God! Not the mouth!

Easter Chagrin

I was pleased to see that Jen was trying to attract rabbits to our house. I do not understand why hard-boiled eggs and plastic eggs filled with candy would attract rabbits, but neither do I care. I just wanted to hunt a rabbit. It has been quite a while.
Much to my chagrin, I learnt that the Easter Bunny comes under cover of magic or some such rot. At any rate, I did not see him (it?). Nor did the eggs attract any other rodents. They did attract birds, however. Clever birds that either figured out how to pop open the plastic eggs, or figured that a little bit of plastic ingested would not hasten their demise, since they don't live that long in the grand scheme of things anyway.
I don't understand the connection between rabbits and eggs. All I know is that there was no good meat to be had that day. Instead there was a lot of that abomination called chocolate. Sam was excited to eat it and even more excited after eating it, somehow.

Teddy showed me that he understood my disappointment. I, too, would have liked some tender bunny ears, Teddy. I, too.

Homeschooling Part II: Art

I still say that rats are the "perfect protein." But, if humans want to stick to eggs, fine. You know, there are white rats out there, even mice, that would have fit nicely in these cups and looked fabulous in Easter colors. Just saying.
Jen makes her own play dough and keeps it in the fridge. I find the stuff disturbing, especially when little chunks get stuck between my paw pads. I can only guess what mushed play dough looks like on socks. Yuck. And you just know Teddy is going to eat that straight from the carpet.
I'm just saying that we could use a little art guidance. Jen allows Sam to express himself, but this might be a bit much. Of course, the projection on that monster-like creature (a backsin, actually) is a tail! What were you thinking?
