We had a big week
Josh and Jen reenacted their first stroller walk. This was actually Sam's 3rd stroller walk, but the first on captured for posterity. Sam enjoys the stroller. He likes downhill better than up, and doesn't mind the bumps. He spends most of the walk awake, generally falling asleep only during the last leg - a block away from home, or so. He then immediately wakes up when entering the house.
I heard a lot of ruckus in the bathroom and went to check it out. It seems that Jen and Josh were torturing Sam in the bathtub. Thank goodness I can give myself a bath. Perhaps I will teach Sam how to lick himself and he won't have to deal with this again. Please notice that his eyes are all red. This is because he was bawling pretty much during the entire bath. Clean babies are nice, though.

There was also some general lying about and hanging out this week. Josh and Jen made faces and talked to Sam while he stared. Please notice my location in the upper right background. I knew better than to try to get on the couch.

Foiled!
I was shot this morning. Why would you put blankets on a shelf close to the ground if I wasn't permitted to lie on them? It's illogical. So there I was, being patient, keeping Jen company in the nursery - I mean it WAS time for ME to eat and go outside. I spotted the cozy little den that looked like it was created all for me. I stepped on a very cute blanket, and was just about to lay my weary, hungry, and forsaken bones down, when WHAM! water nailed me in the behind. I might just bring a dead mole inside to show my appreciation for the shower.

Unfair!
The child is still around. The other day I saw Josh not only holding it in what looks like a very comfortable and portable den, i.e., something suitable for a cat, but Josh was also clipping its nails. I thought I was the only one who ordered manicures in this house.
I noticed that it is allowed to sleep anywhere it wants. I tried to get on Josh's lap and was quickly batted away. This hardly seems fair.

Again, the child gets many comfortable areas to rest. This particular bed-like structure is in the special room. This special room has a lot of surfaces to lie on: a crib, a chair, a green rug, another chair, and this thing that the kid is on. Lots. I have been knocked off of everything in the place and look at this guy! He's relaxing and getting to play with fingers.
